ANNISTON, ALABAMA USA-----MAY 6, 2006----The Sunny King Criterium (NRC), the final race of the inaugural USA Crits Championship Series, has partnered with CYCLING.TV (www.cycling.tv) to feature not only race coverage, but post-race rider interviews and more. CYCLING.TV will air series highlights, consisting of the Athens Twilight (NRC) and Nalley Historic Roswell (NRC) Criteriums in Georgia, the Heritage races in Walterboro and Greenwood, South Carolina, the SmithBarney Classic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the Sunny King Criterium in Anniston, Alabama. The criterium series begins in Athens on April 29, after the conclusion of the Tour de Georgia. The series ends in Anniston on May 6. All races are conveniently situated geographically, providing short travel times between races.

"We are pleased to be working with the Sunny King Criterium and entire USA CRITS Series to expose American criterium racing to the world on CYCLING.TV," said Steve Masters, CYCLING.TV Global Sales & Marketing Manager. "I am making travel arrangements and plan to be in Anniston for the final race in the series," said Masters who will travel from London.

Housing and other team hospitality arrangements are provided at each race venue. "We have confirmed accommodations for 13 teams in Anniston," said Mike Poe, race director of the Sunny King Criterium. "Teams in Anniston will be treated to a complimentary post-race/series dinner, including fine food, beverages, CYCLING.TV interviews, and other media coverage," said Poe.

"We are excited to produce this criterium series and not only showcase criterium racing in the U.S., but promote tourism and healthy lifestyles in each of the communities hosting these races," said Gene Dixon of Swagger, LLC, the promoter of the series. "Each race in the series is locally organized and is the centerpiece of downtown festivals in each community. A big part of these festivals centers on children and active lifestyles---which we think is a positive approach to combat childhood obesity," said Dixon. More than 90,000 total spectators are expected at the 6 criterium races combined, and numerous healthy activities for children are planned.

The Pro 1 (2 invitational) USA Crits Series features a total $75,000 cash prize list. The individual races will offer a total of $65,000, and the overall series will offer $10,000. Teams may e-register or phone register at www.gobike1.com. Deadline for teams to register for the overall series prize list is April 15.
