Calling all Parents! Grab the kids, some sun block, and your camera - and head to downtown Anniston for the Noble Street Festival. As one of the headline events of this healthy family festival, the McWane KidZone has been GREATLY expanded for 2009!

Check out the activities below and look for some surprises at the festival. Many activities are free, some have a small fee. All McWane KidZone activities are located at 10th & Noble -look for the big tents!! Besides the KidZone, the family will enjoy great food, pro bike races, live music, art, and more!

KidzBikeRace

This "just for fun" bike race for tricycle through 6th graders awards medals to the top three in each category! First 200 receive custom race shirts. All riders will finish at the official Start/Finish Line on the Pro bike race course! Bring your bike, and helmet is required.

Kids' Mellow Mushroom Mad Dash

McWane Center Booth

Step right up to the Three-Ring Science Show. Explore the wonders of liquid nitrogen, the power of explosions, and the brilliance of color and bubbles through chemical and physical reactions. Every experience will be one to remember. Catch a special presentation on the KidZone Stage.

Anniston Library Bookmobile

Anniston Museum of Natural History Booth

Get up close and personal with live animals from around the world at the Anniston Museum booth. Museum staff will be available to give you lots of information about the animals and let you touch them if you dare! You will also be able to purchase bottled water and museum memorabilia. Proceeds go to the Museum’s live animal care. See snakes & lizards, ferrets, and much more.

KidZone Stage

Check out the performances on the KidZone Stage! Presentations from the McWane Center, Anniston Museum of Natural History, Big Sam the Balloon Man, sports and karate demonstrations, kid-friendly music, drama, and much, much more! Check the schedule in the Noble Street Festival Guide for times of all KidZone Stage events.

KidZone ArtZone

The ArtZone is "Going Green" using recycled materials to create art. Brown paper bags, reused papers, packing materials and food containers will become wearable art, and mailing tubs and recycled cans will become festive shakers and drums. Tracy Tyler, percussion artist, will involve our young "musicians" in a drum circle using the newly made art, as well as found objects and instruments from around the world.
